A lab study found fibrils can carry RNA into sperm
Source: EurekAlert
What the research found
Columbia's Zuckerman Institute reported in Molecular Cell on 26 October 2026 that amyloid fibrils ferried RNA into sperm, including strands long enough to encode a fluorescent marker. Embryos from that sperm made at least ten times more of the marker than sperm given the RNA alone. The release frames this as a laboratory delivery finding. It is not a fertility treatment. Not medical advice.
